Winchester Cathedral Old Choristers Associations WCOCA is a non-profit organisation providing a common point of contact and support for ex-choristers. The WCOCA holds records of individual members, typically their contact details; name, email address, postal address, landline telephone number, mobile telephone number, as provided by them.

 

Purpose for holding data

 

The primary purpose for the WCOCA processing data is to enable us to maintain contact and provide support for Association members. Specifically, this will be to inform members of reunions, events, concerts and festivals, AGM’s and the annual newsletter. Wherever possible, communication from the WCOCA to individuals whose details are processed by the WCOCA will be by email.

 

Legal basis

 

The legal basis under which we conduct our activity as an Association is legitimate interest.

 

As a non-profit organisation with, primarily, recreational activities, we are not required to register with the ICO or to appoint a Data Protection Officer. The Data Controller is the Honorary Secretary of the WCOCA.

The WCOCA only holds and processes the personal data that it requires to maintain contact with its members as provided and updated by them.
